So I am not a big meat person, and even less a steak person, BUT my husband loves steak!!! He went to a gourmet grocery store and bought three (huge) steaks. So we decided to make a feast of steak, potatoes and green beans.
I always love trying new things with food, experimenting and seeing how it turns out. Well, this experiment turned out fabulous!!!
For the steak, I made a marinade of McCormick Montreal Chicken seasoning, olive oil and red wine vinegar (not too much so it does not over power the other seasonings). I allowed the steak to marinate for about 8 hours in the refrigerator. Then cooked in the broiler for 4 minutes on each side (time will change depending on the thickness of the steak and how well you would like them cooked).
The green beans, I sautéed on the stove with olive oil and garlic (add salt and pepper to taste).
The potatoes (1 bag of golden baby potatoes diced), I placed in a Ziploc bag, added two tbsp of olive oil, 1 onion (diced), 6 cloves of garlic (diced), salt and pepper and proceeded to mix it around in the bag. Then poured them into a baking dish and baked them in the oven for an hour at 375 (oven time will vary depending on how well you like your potatoes cooked and the size of the cut up potatoes).
Here are a few photos of the cooking process and the end product:
